The Xbox Series X restock at Walmart can happen in minutes, and our 24/7 Xbox Adds Twitter Tracker Matt Swider will be the first to let you know when Xbox Series X is in stock – if you follow his Twitter accountaccount and turn on notifications.
Matt has helped more than 59,000 people buy a next-gen console through his free Twitter alerts, and he recently discovered that the Xbox Series X product page on mobile reads “out of stock” when it previously listed third-party retailers. That’s a good sign that the $499 Microsoft Xbox console is restocking today at Walmart.
► When? Follow our Xbox Series X restock Twitter tracker Matt Swider and enable notifications for live restock news. It’s the fastest way to get Xbox Companion Updates.
► Do not buy from other Twitter users – all of which are scams. Only buy from the US stores that Matt warns you about. No one will legitimately sell Xbox Series X for just $550.
How to buy the Xbox Series X at Walmart: Click on this image of the latest major Xbox Series X addition (it was from Target) to get a notification and then enable notifications (it’s the little bell icon). You’ll see a tweet push notification when Matt sends a tweet so you can buy the Xbox Series X as soon as it’s in stock.
Walmart Xbox Series X Restock Time
- Next Walmart Xbox Series X Supplement: maybe Thursday, July 22 at 3pm EDT if it happens
- Latest Walmart Xbox Series X Addition: July 1 at 3 p.m. EDT
The Walmart Xbox Series X replenishment time could be 3:00 p.m. EDT, according to our analysis of when the US retailer often stocks the Microsoft console. There’s no guarantee it will be today, but Walmart took down the Xbox Series X page a few minutes ago and did the same ahead of a possible Walmart PS5 restock.
The best way to get it is to subscribe to our alerts – you’ll be the first to know and you can get a link straight from the tweet. You’ll need to open it in a web browser at 3pm EDT (if it happens then – the last Walmart PS5 restock time is at 3:35pm EDT) and we’ll tweet helpful advice like using the mobile app at the same time to constantly hit the Walmart Xbox Seires X add-to-cart button.
In addition to Walmart, there are random restocks from Best Buy
- Next Best Buy Xbox Series X Supplement: Has been weekly so far on random dates
- Latest Best Buy Xbox Series X Addition: Wednesday, July 14 at 3:10 PM ET
- How to buy the Xbox at Best Buy: Follow our Xbox restock tracker account
The Best Buy Xbox Series X has been happening weekly for a month, with the exception of the July 4 short break, when only one US retailer, Target, had restocked the new Microsoft Xbox console. That’s why Best Buy has suddenly become the hottest store for Xbox Series X stock – it’s consistent. Note that it’s done weekly restocks before and then skipped six weeks in a row in 2021, so it’s never guaranteed again at Best Buy.
Unfortunately, every Xbox Series X replenishment has happened on a different date and time in the past month. Thursday and Friday used to be popular at Best Buy, it’s shifted to Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during the latest restock cycle, and the time has been extended from 9:38 a.m. to 6:05 p.m. — so basically all day.
That’s why our Xbox Series X restock warnings have become so crucial to people.

GameStop Xbox Series X Supplement
- Next GameStop Xbox Series X Supplement: Unknown, but it’s too late
- Last little GameStop Xbox Series X restock: Thursday, July 15 at 11 a.m. EDT
- Latest Xbox All Access Bundle Restocks at GameStop: June 23 at 2 p.m. EDT
- Only GameStop in-store Xbox Series X will be restocked in 2021: June 16 open in store
- Latest Big GameStop Xbox Series X Addition: Wednesday, May 26 at 2 p.m. EDT
- How to buy the Xbox from GameStop: Follow our Xbox restock tracker account
The GameStop Xbox Series X replenishment strategy is everywhere, with the last major online inventory launching on May 26 (alongside a major PS5 replenishment opportunity). There have been other Xbox restock events since that date: On June 16, we saw the first and only major in-store restock – GameStop or otherwise – in 2021; on June 23, we saw an Xbox All Access bundle go live; and last Thursday, July 15, the retailer briefly bundled the Xbox Series X console with an additional blue Xbox controller, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and a $20 gift card and F1 2021.
We’re hoping for more – and better – Xbox Series X GameStop bundles in the near future as the game retailer continues to try different things with its Xbox inventory. And of course we are there with Twitter alerts.
Microsoft Store Secret Xbox Series X Availability
- Microsoft has diverted Xbox console inventory to its Xbox Insiders program
- Beta testers (of new dashboards) get access to buy a console
- You need to turn on your Xbox One console
The official Microsoft Store has not had a large stock in the US months through its website. Instead, the company is diverting some of its Xbox Series X inventory into a pilot program designed to help the most loyal Xbox fans get the new Series X console.
The Xbox Insiders Xbox Series X upgrade plan, first discovered by Bradon Hofer at Gaming Target, is actually a great incentive for people who want to beta test dashboard tweaks and other system updates that Microsoft is developing for its consoles. And if you’re stuck testing things on an old Xbox One and looking to upgrade to the new Xbox Series X, you really should be first in line.
Note: You must turn on your old Xbox One console to sign in to this specific Xbox Insiders menu. You can access it online, nor can you find the menu on an Xbox Series X. This prevents Xbox Series X owners from ordering a second console from their brand new system.
Target Xbox Series X Restock: Daily Local Online
- Target Xbox Replenishment is now online locally almost every morning
- Only a few zip codes have the Xbox Series X for sale — and only a few consoles left
- This is very different from the nationwide Xbox Series X additions before
Every morning Target has the Xbox Series X in stock at random stores to buy online (no, you can’t buy the Xbox in stores in the US at this time). The problem is, it’s hard to give Twitter alerts when it’s mostly select stores in a city and there are only five consoles as part of the Xbox replenishment.
Target has moved from a nationwide restock date to offering the Xbox Series X locally (again only for purchase online, pick up in stores) and it has the Xbox consoles for sale as they come in every morning.
Xbox All-Access is often the silent complement
- Walmart and GameStop had Xbox Series X in stock via All Access for weeks and no one noticed
- The pay-as-you-go program hooks you into a 24-month contract
Stores like Walmart and GameStop often top up the Xbox Series X through the Xbox All Access bundle, which is much like a smartphone plan. You pay for the console over time, but you’re also signed up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which is actually something you should consider buying alongside an Xbox anyway).
After 24 months, you’ll save a few bucks with this Xbox Series X subscription, but you’ll have to pay for it for two years.
The Xbox Series X restock news continues to be a mixed bag. The console will be available immediately when there is a restock, but retailers in the US haven’t put the new Xbox on sale except for a few restock dates in late June and the first half of July. Demand has fallen, but so has supply. It might be difficult at first to buy Xbox Series X once things stabilize (as demand builds), but once those pent-up needs are met, it’ll just be back in stock there, according to our analysis.
