A woman has revealed the unhinged text messages she allegedly received from a date who ranted that “society is a joke” after calling herself a “dog mom”.

TikTok user Kristen Beatty, 32, of New Jersey, explained in her series of “Maybe: Brad” videos — a reference to the iPhone’s caller ID suggestion feature — that she met him on Hinge, and they already realized soon that they lived in the same apartment building.

She’d already been on a few dates with Brad when she sent him a “National Dog Mom’s Day” news article since he’d just met her dog Penny. That turned out to be a big mistake.

What do you say? Kristen Beatty, 32, from New Jersey, opened up about how her date freaked out after calling herself a “dog mom” on her series of “Maybe: Brad” videos

Kristen read Brad’s response out loud as he shared screenshots of his barrage of texts in the videos.

‘Oh God. Real? I admire real mothers. Raising a human is 100x more rewarding than a pet,” he initially replied. “Do you put yourself in that ‘dog mom’ category?”

“I have a dog, so yes,” she said.

‘Bye. I think that’s childish,’ he retorted.

Kristen thought the conversation was over, but Brad kept texting her saying that “anyone can take care of a pet” and people don’t “need recognition for it.”

She pointed out that she “never asked for recognition” nor that it was particularly difficult or “equal to being a real mother,” but he didn’t want to hear it.

‘Well, that’s it! Nobody cares that you’re a dog mom,” he argued. ‘Why the need for the title? They want recognition, otherwise you wouldn’t have it.’

When Kristen said he took this “too seriously,” he replied, “Society is a joke. I am a serious person.’

Brad seemed to insinuate that it was her that was wrong with society and then began to get political by saying that he is “by no means a liberal.”

“What does all this have to do with whether you’re a liberal or not?” she wondered.

Instead of answering her question, he asked, “Why the title ‘dog mom’?”

Kristen, clearly wanting to end the conversation, reminded him that he said “goodbye” five minutes ago, but was still texting her.

Hard to handle: Kristen paused to “point out the abuse happening here” when she read this part of his rant about liberal dog owners

Brad claimed she was “in denial” and “trying to change the subject” when she refused to answer his question.

“Liberal individuals tend to view animals as humans,” he wrote back. “So if they have a pet, they see themselves as a parent of that animal. While conservatives and moderates like me don’t have such a mentality.’

During this part of his diatribe, Kristen paused to “point out the abuse taking place here” before continuing.

“If I had a pet, I wouldn’t consider myself a parent of that pet. For me, parenthood has more meaning than being a pet/animal,” he added.

Liberals tend to give their pets a purpose, almost as if they were human. I don’t think so. I think my pet is a pet. It’s not my child.’

Kristen didn’t even respond at the time, but that didn’t stop Brad from making assumptions about her.

Saying the obvious: Kristen eventually stopped responding, but that didn't stop him from making assumptions about her and then pointing out that they wouldn't get along.

“Let me guess you put clothes on your dog? Did you let it sleep in your bed? See it as your child? It is clear that we will not agree,” he concluded.

The most popular video in the four-part series has been viewed more than 1.2 million times, and several commentators claimed she dodged a bullet.

“That anger for nothing is terrifying when you consider he’s in your apartment complex,” one wrote. “Be watchful and carry some mace, etc.”

“Did you say you met him at Hinge or Un-hinged?” asked another, while another added, “The bottom line is NO NORMAL PERSON would be outraged by this. Regardless of their political affiliation… He’s clearly unhinged.’

Kristen shared in the comments that she was afraid of running into him after the incident, but luckily he doesn’t seem to live in her building anymore.

“I was super tense for a few weeks,” she explained. “I sometimes saw him in the gym/hall. I have a security camera. I think he’s moved on since then.’
