UFC legend Diego Sanchez suffers from pneumonia caused by Covid and is having a terrible time with the illness in hospital.

The 39-year-old fan favorite also has blood clots in his legs due to the coronavirus and shared images of himself in his bed.

Sanchez wrote: ‘Pneumonia Covid never gives up’, alongside an image of himself with wires and diodes connected to his body wearing a face mask.

He also wrote: ‘Covid is not a motha******* joke’, posting an image of a scan of his lungs, which have been devastated.

Sanchez also revealed online that he has not been vaccinated and is “not being sold” on the jab.

The former welterweight was dropped from the UFC in April and is said to have signed a deal with Bare Knuckle FC pending a medical.

He was the very first winner of the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter way back in 2005.
