“These are my three cheap laundry hacks that actually work,” Chantel posted on Instagram.

The first trick the mom swears by is making sure she always puts her sheets on the bed the right way.

“Save time on your sheets by making sure the fitted sheet labels are always in the bottom right corner,” Chantel said.

The second thing you can do to prevent wrinkles and creases on your bedding is to “squirt tap water from a spray bottle while you tuck the sheets in so you don’t have to iron.”

The idea is to slightly dampen the sheet instead of soaking it, and the reason this works is because the combination of the water and the tension of the sheets being stretched acts like a DIY steamer.

Run your hand firmly over the folds, smooth them out, and let the sheet dry before putting the bedding back on.

Finally, Chantel said she always “fluffs” her pillows in the dryer for five minutes with a tennis ball.

When pillows are only placed in the dryer, the materials inside can clump and cause your pillow to flatten.

On the other hand, when you put a tennis ball in it, the tennis balls hit and fluff the pad as it dries.

More than 8,000 people who saw Chantel’s video said they would try her tricks in their own homes.

“Love these hacks, thank you so much for sharing,” one commenter wrote.

“Wow, the water trick is a game-changer. And who knew about the tags?’ added another.
