The Block host Scott Cam confirms the show will move to the country as the 2022 season will be shot in a regional city
The Block host Scott Cam has confirmed the show is heading to the country.
The 58-year-old told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa on Monday that the show’s 2022 series will be shot in a regional city.
“I could get in trouble if I say this, but we’re going regional. Bit of a tree change that will be something else. I’m really excited about it,” Scott said.

“I can’t give you much more information than that, but next year we’re definitely going out of town.”
He added: ‘Looking forward to doing the tour for the horseback visits!’
It comes after The Herald Sun reported that the renovation show will be shot in Gisborne South in the Macedon Ranges Shire.

Recently, a 79-acre estate was purchased for about $11 million and the land is divided into seven lots.
Gisborne South is a 40 minute drive from Melbourne and is renowned for its vineyards, olive groves and alpaca industries whilst the property itself offers fantastic views of Mount Macedon.
When asked about the rumours last month, The Block’s creator Julian Cress told the publication: “While I can’t confirm any rumor about where we’re headed next year, lifestyle ownership in regional areas sounds like a great idea.
“I could get in trouble if I say this, but we’re going regional. Bit of a tree change that will be something else. I’m very excited about it,” said Scott
“If the rumor is true, whoever invented it is a genius. The Block, from its inception 19 years ago, has always been about ambitious living for Australians.”
Over the years, the show has been filmed in locations such as Bondi and Manly in Sydney, as well as Port Melbourne, St Kilda and Brighton in Victoria.
The current season of the renovation show was filmed in a cul-de-sac in the Melbourne suburb of Hampton.
