Sydney PR guru Roxy Jacenko has finally put an end to her longstanding feud with gossip columnist Andrew Hornery.

The pair, who famously clashed in 2018 after Hornery mocked Jacenko’s outfit during a fundraiser, buried the hatchet last month after meeting for lunch at a trendy restaurant in Paddington, Sydney.

Hornery noted in his Sydney Morning Herald column on Thursday that both he and Jacenko had become “mutually beneficial adversaries” over the years.

“Just as to me Jacenko is a rich seam of stories, those stories kept her in the news cycle that underpinned her career,” he wrote.

Hornery explained that he had apologized to Jacenko for the mean stories he had written about her personal life in the past.

Admittedly, I have more than once described her as a ‘publicity-seeking missile,’ he said, adding that Jacenko had once responded to his wails by calling him a ‘bitter and deranged old man’.

At the time, Hornery had accused the PR mogul of using her health struggles to gain publicity, especially after she had a tumor removed during a 60 Minutes special.

“It’s a topic that I admit I owe her a much-anticipated apology for after reporting cynically about the media exposure before 60 Minutes filmed her operation,” he wrote.

Hornery made a comment about Jacenko’s ensemble after returning it to the Five Dock store shortly after wearing it on the red carpet.

Hornery went on to criticize Jacenko for claiming her “mullet” dress was a “one-off” design, insisting that the dress in fact very similar to one recently worn by Italian designer and model Chiara Ferragni.

Jacenko responded by posting a photo of another “mullet style” dress, sarcastically captioning it: “How the hell did you miss this one?”

She added: ‘Oh wow, I’ll be damned—another mullet frock—maybe we can start week four of four with the stories in your column, Andrew?’
