She has long been synonymous with her wavy blonde locks.
But Rebecca Gibney changed things on Thursday, when the 56-year-old Packed to the Rafters actress debuted her new brunette locks.
She teased a “new character” and tagged a production company in her Instagram post, suggesting she may have a new series in the works.

Gibney captioned the post of her new look, ‘New character, hopefully soon. #andiwouldntmesswithher’.
The production company, Fearless Productions, is based in Rebecca’s home country of New Zealand.
The shocking new look comes after Gibney defended her Celebrity MasterChef Australia co-star Tilly Ramsay.
The 19-year-old was recently shamed by a British radio host live on the air.

Last Wednesday, Steve Allen, 67, referred to Tilly as a “chubby little thing” on his radio show — a statement that sparked backlash from fans and celebrities alike.
Gibney wrote on Instagram: ‘Let me at him!!! Seriously?? That man needs a big kick in the ass.
“You are a brilliant, shining star – beautiful dancer, wonderful cook, exceptional human being. And point past your years.
“Always remember for that one stupid t**t – there are millions who love you. Keep killing it sweetie – Australia loves you too.’

Legendary swimmer Ian Thorpe also labeled the host’s derogatory comments as “completely inappropriate.”
“When Tilly came (to Celebrity MasterChef), we all wanted to give her a hug, a 19-year-old girl from the other side of the world,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
“I just think it’s inappropriate to make comments about someone’s weight in any way.
“I thought we’d gotten to a point where even a positive comment about someone’s weight didn’t seem so appropriate. I just feel for her.’

Shocking: Allen (pictured) had referred to Tilly as a ‘chubby little thing’ – a statement that sparked a reaction from fans and celebrities alike
Controversy erupted on Wednesday morning when Allen read a comment from a listener on the air, alerting him that Tilly was taking part in Celebrity MasterChef Australia and the British reality show Strictly Come Dancing.
Steve – who is on air between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. – then remarked, “Is she? Well, she can’t dance well!
‘I’m tired of her already. She’s a chubby thing, isn’t she. Did you notice? Her father probably cooks, I imagine.’
Responding to the comments, Tilly wrote on Instagram: “I try not to read and listen to comments and negativity, but to be recently yelled at on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far.
“Steve, feel free to voice your opinion, but I draw a line when I comment on my appearance. It’s such a shame that someone tries to make such a positive experience negative.’
Shock: In her reply message, Tilly revealed that she was “learning” herself to accept, but was still “hurt” by the shocking comments
Tilly continued: ‘This is not the first and certainly not’ the last comment about my appearance and I accept that and I am learning to accept myself.
“But please remember that words can hurt. And at the end of the day, I’m only 19 and I’m so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I got to participate in.
‘And I understand that getting publicity naturally has its own consequences and I’ve been aware of that from an early age.
“However, I will not tolerate people who think it’s okay to comment publicly and research someone’s weight and appearance. Love Tilly xx’
She captioned the post “#bekind.”
