A search of the California home belonging to Paul Flores, the accused murderer of Kristin Smart, has yielded homemade videos that prosecutors say the suspect raped a drunk woman, along with “rape fantasy” pornography.
Meanwhile, a separate search of the home of Ruben Flores, Paul’s 80-year-old father, earlier this year is said to have found traces of likely human blood and a patch of excavated earth beneath a deck, where authorities believe Flores’ body was once buried. to bury.
Paul, now 44, is charged with a rape or attempted rape murder for the 1996 murder of Smart, a 19-year-old student at California Polytechnic State University.

In February 2020, police executed a search warrant at Paul’s San Pedro, California, home, confiscating electronic devices containing homemade videos and rape porn, prosecutors say
Two house searches were carried out in February and March 2020 as part of the investigation into the death of Smart
Ruben was later charged with complicity for helping his son hide Smart’s body, which was never found.
Both men pleaded not guilty to their respective charges in April and the elder Flores was released on bail.
In a court hearing on Wednesday, a Luis Obispo County prosecutor presented evidence obtained during a February 2020 search of Paul Flores’ home in San Pedro.
Deputy District Attorney Christopher Peuvrelle told the court that detectives recovered homemade videos from the suspect’s computer showing him raping a drunk woman.

Paul’s father, Ruben Flores, is pictured in court on July 14. A former tenant claimed that Ruben would call Smart as a ‘dirty slut’
Other videos found on electronic devices seized during the search allegedly show Flores having sex with and sodomizing women floating in and out of consciousness. San Luis Obispo Tribune.
One of the women in the footage would appear with a red ball gag in her mouth.
Police also found a pornographic film titled “Real Drunken Girls Drugged and Raped While Passed Out.”
According to the prosecutor, the videos are stored in a computer file called ‘Practice’.
The search also turned up “fetishized rape fantasy porn” and prescription drugs that could be used as rape drugs, especially when taken with alcohol.
Flores, 44, was arrested in April for Smart’s murder. He has denied all allegations
Paul, 44, is charged with murder in connection with a rape or attempted rape. Ruben, 80, is later accused of accessory
Court documents claim that a search of Ruben Flores’ home revealed traces of likely human blood and a patch of excavated earth beneath this deck, where authorities believe Flores’ body was once buried.
“Paul Flores is a defendant who likes to rape women and use drugs,” Peuvrelle told the court. “That’s him.”
According to court documents filed by the prosecution, 30 women have come forward to accuse Flores of sexual misconduct, with some telling investigators they woke up at the suspect’s home without remembering how they got there.
At least four of the prosecutors claimed that Flores raped them.
The evidence was presented as part of the prosecution’s request to add two rape charges to Flores’ criminal complaint in the Smart case, in which he was accused of sexually abusing two women between 2013 and 2013 in Los Angeles.
San Luis Obispo Superior Court Judge Craig van Rooyen denied the motion, saying there is insufficient evidence that Smart was raped.
The judge said the court should consider whether prosecutors were trying to add charges from a weak case to a stronger case in an attempt to prove the weaker case.
“There is no evidence of a sex crime in the indicted crime (the murder case) itself,” he said. “Evidence of the charges in LA cannot be a substitute… for the SLO (San Luis Obispo) case.”
Additional data released on the day of the hearing also revealed that a March 2021 search of Ruben Flores’ home in Arroyo Grande revealed “significant soil disturbance” and revealed samples that tested positive for human blood, although an expert has not ruled out that it could also be ferret or primate blood.
A former tenant of Flores’ told investigators that Ruben had padlocked the area below the deck where the evidence was found and wouldn’t let anyone in, not even a plumber to fix a leak.
David Stone, who rented a room at Flores for ten years before moving last year, said the enclosed space “would be the perfect place to throw something away where no one would see you…”
Stone also claimed that his landlord would call Smart a “dirty slut.”
Judge van Rooyen has moved a 12-day preliminary hearing in Smart’s murder case to August 2.
