She is a loving mother to daughters Ava, 14, and Hero, 10, and son Apollo, two.

And on Wednesday, Myleene Klass broke down about her four devastating miscarriages, admitting she couldn’t enjoy being pregnant with son Apollo for fear of being told “there’s no heartbeat.”

The former Hear’Say singer, 43, appeared on Lorraine and shared a clip from her upcoming documentary for W, discussing the impact a miscarriage has had on her.

Heartbreaking: On Wednesday, Myleene Klass, 43, admitted she couldn’t enjoy being pregnant with son Apollo, 2, for fear of being told ‘there’s no heartbeat’

In a clip from her upcoming documentary, Myleene explains, “I was about to fly home for a D&C. I woke up and it was bleeding and it wasn’t bleeding like normal.’

The star broke down when she heartbreakingly confessed, “I just knew. There was no warning. I just woke up and it’s just that empty sinking feeling. It just touches you.’

A D&C, a dilation and curettage, is a surgical procedure to remove tissue from the uterus.

The singer then told Lorraine in her ITV studio: ‘I think for all the women – and there are 20,000 of us in the UK every month – for all the women this happens to, I think the first port of call is to blame.

‘I always find the language around miscarriages – miss, you’re missing something – so negative. A failed pregnancy, an incompetent cervix.

“It goes on and on, ‘how did you lose the baby?’ and so the first thing you do is look straight inside. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to make this documentary.

“You already feel like you’ve failed, and you look for that safety in numbers with other women who’ve been through this.”

After watching the emotional clip from her W documentary together, Lorraine told Myleene that she, too, had suffered a miscarriage.

Myleene said, “I find it such an uncomfortable subject. It’s so sad, they’re dead babies. There’s nowhere to go there. I’m so sorry I didn’t know it happened to you.’

Lorraine – who has been candid about her miscarriage before – explained, “It’s been a long time. You’re actually grieving for something that didn’t happen,” before asking, “Would you like to be pregnant with Apollo?”

Myleene confessed, “No. Every moment you think you’re being told, “I’m sorry there’s no heartbeat.” Every time you go to the bathroom you think there will be blood.’

#lorraine Myleen speaks perfectly logically. It’s so true they don’t prepare you for this, too much taboo. Mainly missed a miscarriage. Well done for discussing xxx,” another fan tweeted.

One viewer admitted: ‘Tears watching @KlassMyleene on Lorraine this morning about her miscarriages and new show #misscarriageandme.’

It was last October when Myleene first revealed she had had four miscarriages before giving birth to her “rainbow baby” son Apollo.

The TV personality has lifted the lid on her mental health battle after the ordeal, in which she experienced “grief, trauma, grief and fear.”

“I’ve lost a lot of myself,” she admitted in a teaser for her documentary. “I couldn’t talk about it for a year, I couldn’t even pronounce the word.

It’s one word, but it’s sadness, it’s trauma, it’s sadness, it’s fear. There must be a reason people can’t say it,” she wondered.

The radio DJ is now encouraging others to talk about their pregnancy losses, to normalize the experience – as Tommy reports that an estimated one in five pregnancies in the UK ends in miscarriage.

She said, ‘I have my group of friends and you know they’ve been through the same thing, we’re literally passing on that miscarriage baton. It’s harder for me to find friends who haven’t had miscarriages now.

“The change I would like to see is already being implemented. The fact that we’re having these conversations: I couldn’t even pronounce the word “miscarriage.” ‘
