Mitch Edwards of The Block tells judges to ‘fuck themselves’ as he and Mark McKie from the set STORMT after their kitchen layout was labeled ‘really stupid’ and ‘insane’ at the reveal

Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie of The Block have been particularly vocal throughout the season in revealing what they really think of the judges’ criticisms.

And on Sunday’s episode, Mitch was at his wits’ end when Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer discovered an error that their kitchen didn’t have a designated pantry.

After the design trio labeled the layout “really stupid” and “insane” during the reveal, with the pair opting for just a refrigerator and “drawers” for the pantry, Mitch stormed off the set and said she “f** k yourself had to go’ ‘ into an explosive piece in front of the camera.

When host Scott Cam announced the living and dining room to be unveiled next week, Mark and Mitch stormed off the set, fed up with their disastrous criticism.

Judges Neale, Shaynna and Darren thought it was a glaring mistake to go without a designated pantry, relying instead on a refrigerator and drawers for storage.

‘I don’t think the judges are actually progressive enough to understand that pantries can be in drawers. So no, I don’t need the jury’s opinion much anymore,” Mark said in one piece for the camera.

Fault finding: 'That's a huge mistake. This is not a kitchen you can work in and this would put off a buyer,” explained one unimpressed with Shaynna.

Neale agreed, saying the pair has “major functionality issues here” and that it’s a matter of “style over substance.”

Mitch and Mark told host Scott they wouldn’t listen to their feedback because they ‘designed it’ [the kitchen] for the drawers.

‘In a lot of modern life it’s actually more accessible these days’ [to have drawers acting as a pantry]so you don’t end up in the back of the closet. If you pull out the drawers, you’ll see everything,” he said.

Mitch added in an on-camera piece that their comments are “pretty stupid.”

“I have no respect for the judges, so I shouldn’t allow someone to hurt me for whom I had no respect in the first place,” he said.

The Block continues Monday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine
