She lost the chance at Matt James’s last rose, but got the chance to find her own perfect match.

And Michelle Young put her heart on the line to find love in the first trailer for her lead role in The Bachelorette.

The 28-year-old teacher dribbled a basketball before changing gears in a striking ball gown as she greeted would-be suitors vying for her heart on season 18 of the hit ABC dating show.

“My name is Michelle and I’m the new bachelor,” she said, firing hoops in the opening scene.

Michelle’s upcoming season was reportedly filmed at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa near Palm Springs, California, as well as the Marquette Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Qualifying bachelorettes made their debut throughout the 30-second clip, featuring a firefighter riding a kids toy motorcycle and Michelle coming down to do pushups with another potential suitor.

“If you give a kiss to this teacher, you could be ahead of the class,” the narrator said as clips showed Young closing lips with potential suitors

“Your whole life is about to change,” Kaitlyn Bristowe said as he stood next to co-host Tayshia Adams.

Bristowe and Adams return as presenters of the show after a successful stint in season 17 with Katie Thurston, the first series without Chris Harrison after his racism scandal.

“If you kiss this teacher, you could be ahead of the class,” the narrator said, while clips showed Young sealing lips with potential suitors.

The elementary school teacher said she loved finding love on the small screen and told people, “I’m ready.”

She added: “I really think this process works. If you can put down all these outside distractions and dive in, I think you can really learn a lot about someone. I’m just excited. I’m ready to start.’

Young said after her casting that she hoped to see more diversity among the men this season.

“They know I will continue to make an impact in a positive way. And I think they’re jumping on my train to do that with me,” she told Good Morning America.

And she’s already gotten tons of advice from Thurston, who told Young to be “open” to the experience and whatever comes her way.

“I think the most important advice I’ve given her is to just be open. Don’t cut yourself off too early. I think guys can surprise you… weeks later if you don’t expect it,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

Season 18 will premiere on ABC on Tuesday, October 19.
