But even the rich and famous face problems.

In February, the New York Times published an article detailing some of the problems in the luxury homes, with tenants complaining of millions of dollars in water damage from plumbing and mechanical problems, frequent elevator failures and walls “creaking like a ship’s galley.”

There were reportedly two leaks in the high-rise building in 2018, and a resident claimed to have been trapped in an elevator for nearly 90 minutes on October 31, 2019 due to high winds.

Other residents have complained of creaking, thumping and clicking noises and a ‘bomb-sounding chute’ being thrown away as trash.

CIM Group officials told the Times they were “working with the condo board,” which was run by developers until January, when residents were chosen to take over.

The developers also recently told The Wall Street Journal that all those concerns are being addressed.
