Yikes: The 18-year-old was recording his back workout on his phone assessing his progress when he noticed the stranger filming him from across the gym
Real? When the teen asked what the man was doing, he mocked him for training shirtless and called him a ‘weird’
“Yes,” replied Nick, who has been going to the gym since he was 16.
The stranger then became aggressive, calling the fitness enthusiast a “weird” for his shirtless clothing.
After wondering why he was called a freak, the man hit back: “Because you’re shirtless in af*****g gym r****d.”
Nick kindly explained that he was filming his back muscles and asked, ‘What’s your problem? You don’t have to take me in.’
‘F**k you. That’s weird as s**t. F**k you f****t,’ said the man with a homophobic swear word.
Argument: After Nick wondered why he was called a weirdo, the guy hit back: “Because you’re shirtless in af*****g gym r****d
Hate speech: As they continued to go back and forth, the stranger became more aggressive and used a homophobic slur and said to Nick, “F**k you f****t”
Hit Back: Nick finally retaliated by asking the man if he was ‘crazy that an 18-year-old is taller’
Almost fighting: The man knocked down his water bottle and aimed at Nick, within inches of his face
“So I don’t even know this guy, and I’m confused about what’s going on because I don’t understand why he’s berating me and stuff,” Nick admitted in the video.
“But he keeps staring at me and laughing at me and saying things to me — so I just had to say something.”
You could hear Nick ask, “What makes you mad at an 18-year-old is bigger than you?”
The man then knocked down his water bottle and focused on Nick, within inches of his face. Nick asked him again what his problem was, which caused a tense back and forth.
When Nick told the man to get out of his face, he threatened him and said, “I’ll screw it up, p***y.” The teen laughed and put on his headphones when the man finally walked away.
Bigger man: The man looked like he was trying to argue with Nick, but the teen refused to punch
About: The ordeal ended when Nick ignored the man, who eventually left him alone to continue his training in peace
Going viral: TikTok video has been viewed more than seven million times and has received nearly 30,000 comments
Nick told Jam Press that he was surprised by the confrontation, explaining: “Normally I only train without a shirt when I want to record my back or record a body part that you can’t see with a tank top on.
“I’ve never gotten this kind of response.”
The fitness enthusiast said the ordeal ended with ignoring the man, who eventually left him alone to continue his workout.

Difficult to handle: Nick, who has been going to the gym since he was 16, was admittedly surprised by the showdown

“Well done being the adult,” one person wrote, while another agreed, “Beta as hell. You’ve done well, my man, not even worth it.’
“My god, this is poisonous masculinity in action,” another told me. “Mate, you just went through a tenth of what most women have to endure EVERY DAY in the weight section.”
However, there were some TikTokers who thought he should have punched the man after getting him in the face, with one person saying he should have “beat him like a fool”.
“To anyone saying why I didn’t hit him,” Nick responded in the comments, “I know he was a tool and an asshole, but these people aren’t worth it.
‘I am more mature than this man. I also don’t want to deal with the police for assault or being banned from the gym,” he added.
“I can control myself, that guy is clearly in trouble.”
