Love Island winner Amber Davies has said the cast of the 2021 series is more likely to get a fashion deal than romance in the villa.
The 24-year-old, who won the show’s 2017 series with her now ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay, said the islanders “all look the same” and every new bomb that comes in should “shine or leave.”
In an interview with The sunAmber said the show has become more “cut-throat” with contestants “in and out” of the villa “a lot faster” than previous years.
Career over love: Love Island winner Amber Davies has said the 2021 series cast is more likely to get a fashion deal than in-villa romance
“They are much more likely to strike a fashion deal than to find love. I’ve seen criticism online, “Oh, she’s only there for a fashion deal, he’s only there to get a reach with Boohoo,” but I just think, “Okay,” said Amber.
“It’s probably much more likely than a relationship, to be honest. The truth is, they all look the same now, and social media has taken care of that for the past few years.
“There’s a certain vibe that people think they need to meet, and a way the guys think they need to dress, and girls think they need to dress. When I was there, there was more variety.’

Revenue: In an interview, Amber said the show has become “cut-throat” with contestants “in and out” of the villa “a lot faster” than previous years.
Amber said the cast on her series “all looked different,” but now “everyone thinks they have to conform to a certain look.”
While the television personality pursued a successful career in the West End, the Love Island stars have become millionaires by making deals with fashion giants.
Earlier this year, Molly Mae-Hague, who starred in the 2019 series, reportedly struck a new £1 million fashion deal with online clothing retailer PrettyLittleThing.

Truthfully: ‘They are much more likely to strike a fashion deal than to find love. I’ve seen criticism online: “Oh, she’s only there for a fashion deal, but I’m just like, ‘Good on you,'” Amber said
While 2018 contestant Zara McDermott admitted earlier this month that she went to the show to boost her career rather than find love.
It comes as Love Island bosses are reportedly rushing to build Casa Amor in hopes of spice up the series.
This year, the show’s producers chose a different location for Casa Amor, which has previously spawned controversial storylines.

As a result, they would rush to put the finishing touches on the new venue and install all the necessary equipment for the show.
A source told The sun: ‘Everyone is working around the clock to make sure it looks good, but it’s just not quite done yet.
“As soon as it’s finished, they’ll get it on the screen.”
Host Laura Whitmore recently spoke about the speculation about Casa Amor, saying: ‘Casa Amor hasn’t happened yet, and that throws a huge spanner in the works. It will all change.
‘I’ll be there when the s*** hits the fan. It’s tough, and we’re not even halfway there. Casa Amor. I’m telling you. We’ll save the extra chili.’
Casa Amor sees the husband and wife split up for several episodes and are sent to another villa.
Producers are bringing some new opposite-sex islanders into the mix as a test of couples’ loyalty.
Love Island continues on ITV2 on Thursday at 9pm.
