Liverpool is considering sending Alisson and Fabinho to Spain from international duty with Brazil to avoid the pair facing quarantine issues in the UK.
The Reds resumed their Premier League campaign in Watford on Saturday at 12.30pm – just 36 hours after Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in the early hours of the morning.
While there are plans to get the Brazilian duo back to England in time for this weekend’s match via private jet, Fabinho revealed he and Alisson are unlikely to play due to the tight turnaround.

Such a move would prevent the Brazilian couple from being quarantined in the UK
That has led Liverpool to consider having their goalkeeper and midfielder travel to Spain instead, ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game at Atlético Madrid.
If they return to England this weekend, both players will have to undergo 10 days of custom quarantine – allowing fully vaccinated players to train and play while in isolation – as Brazil played in Colombia, still on the British red list, on October 10. But if they return on or after October 21, they don’t need to be quarantined.
Leeds, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Aston Villa and Tottenham also have players in Brazil’s latest squad, but they will start later this weekend.
With Leeds against Southampton at 3pm and Chelsea in Brentford at 5:30pm on Saturday, Raphinha and Thiago Silva can fly together again for their clubs’ matches.
