Lisa Curry Reveals Someone Told Her She Looked Like a ‘Crocodile Handbag’ While Talking About Getting Old

Lisa Curry has revealed that her skin has suffered from her athletic lifestyle – and some people have been quite unkind about it.

The swimmer, 59, says she was once told she looked like a reptile — and she wasn’t amused.

“Someone once told me that my skin looked like a crocodile handbag! Hard, but true,” she wrote in her column for Body+Soul magazine on Saturday.

She added: “I’ve always been aware of how important it is to take care of myself. But now, more than ever, it has become top of mind as my skin begins to reflect my life choices. For some, it comes down to good genes.

“But many are not so lucky and have to work hard for it. I’ve spent so much time in the Australian elements and in swimming pools, I know what it’s like to take care of your skin,” she added.

Lisa said she’s made “some lifestyle changes,” such as “meals full of superfoods and nutrients for optimal skin health and healing,” and noticed her skin has noticeably improved.”

It comes after the Iron Woman announced she was inspired to create her own skincare line, Happy Skin, after noticing her signs of aging.

‘A few years ago I woke up, looked in the mirror and saw a wrinkle! I thought oh my god this is the start and realized my lifestyle had finally caught up with me,” she wrote in her caption.

“Almost 60 years in the harsh Australian sun and chlorine has taken its toll,” she added.

She candidly revealed that while she hasn’t always treated her skin so well, she wanted to create a routine that was easy for others to use.

“My skin isn’t great… it’s blotchy and dry and smile lines that reflect my fun life… but I wanted a skincare line that was simple, a daily routine that was easy to maintain, and products that really worked on the deep end.” correct and protect layers of damaged skin.

She also proved that she is the best possible model for her brand, as in the photos that Lisa was beaming.
