Lance Bass Reunites With His NSYNC Bandmates (Except Justin Timberlake) For TikTok FaceTime Joke

Lance Bass reunited with his NSYNC bandmates on TikTok this week, calling them all out one by one for a popular FaceTime prank.

But while Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and even JC Chasez answered when Lance called, Justin Timberlake — who split the group to begin his solo career in 2002 — refused to answer.

The nostalgic video got NSYNC fans excited, but when many said they weren’t surprised Justin wouldn’t be joining, Lance agreed.

On Wednesday, Lance posted a video of him doing a popular TikTok prank in which the prankster makes FaceTimes friends — but when the friends answer, they insist they’re too busy to talk and hang up.

Makeup artist James Charles previously tried out the “I’m Busy” challenge on an unsuspecting Kris Jenner and Jojo Siwa, among others.

In Lance’s video, he first called Chris, who even playfully answered the phone outside wearing a mask.

But Lance quickly closed things down and said to him, “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry, I’m so busy right now. I can’t talk, but can you call me later?’

“You just facetimed me,” Chris replied confused, before Lance hung up.

Then Lance called Joey, but when his former bandmate and longtime friend answered, he said to him, ‘Look, I can’t talk right now, I’m so busy. Can I call you back later? Call me back later.’

While several members of NSYNC have reunited over the years — and Lance and Joey have recently teamed up with Nick Carter and AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys — Justin has rarely joined them.

So fans weren’t surprised that he was the only NSYNCer who didn’t pick up.

“Of course Justin didn’t answer,” wrote one.

Justin has missed band reunions before, including a virtual birthday for Lance last year.

The last time the five of them were photographed together was in 2018, when they received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Before that, Lance, JC, Joey and Chris briefly joined Justin onstage for an MTV VMA performance in 2013.

Lance also had all four of his band members on his podcast – individually – to celebrate No Strings Attached’s 20th anniversary last year.

“Fans still want a Backstreet/NSYNC tour, but we have to be ten,” AJ told Variety.

“It’s the only way to make it work, so I think he’d sleep on it if he didn’t, but he’s a dad [Nick] does his thing and I fully respect that. This foursome is a dream team at the moment.’

The team also wowed their followers when they performed together at The Grove in Los Angeles for Gay Pride.
