Kylie Minogue is reportedly back in the studio working on new material.

The hitmaker I Should Be So Lucky – who is releasing an ‘Extended Remixes’ edition of her 2020 album ‘Disco’ on Friday – is said to have been in a London studio last week writing her next collection.

According to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Kylie has collaborated with songwriter Biff Stannard, with whom she has collaborated on Love At First Sight and In Your Eyes, among others.

It is said that she was also joined by Duck Blackwell, who has worked with Olly Murs and The Wanted in the past.

Although the 53-year-old star will return to Melbourne, Australia in the coming weeks, the report claims she is “already thinking about her next album, that she wants to have an electro-pop sound.”

Kylie – who worked on Disco during the corona crisis – built a studio in her London home and previously admitted that the recording process was a bit chaotic.

The hitmaker Can’t Get You Out of My Head said: “I think if there was some kind of fly-on-the-wall camera it would have been a comedy.

“I mean, I’m trying to argue about the sound absorber, which part goes where, Google a lot of tutorials on YouTube and call a friend.”

And she has revealed that at one point she wondered if all her efforts were worth it.

She explained: ‘There was a moment during the lockdown and during all that when I think maybe the album was a bit off. And I wondered, what does this mean? What’s the point? So much is happening in the world and no discotheques are open.

“But the main question that reassured me to keep going was, ‘What will I achieve if I don’t let go?’ And the answer, which is very simple, was nothing at all. So we stuck with ‘Disco’.’
