In an Instagram post posted on Wednesday, she said that at the beginning of the school year, a boy at the school called her son the N-word, forcing her and her fiancé to attend school.

She said the school board apologized for the incident, suspended the student for three days and received a letter of apology from the boy two days later.

Leeks said on Tuesday that she found her son in bed crying and when asked what was going on, he replied: “I was called N*gger again.”

Leeks took to Instagram and posted a photo of two female students posing for a selfie with Jaylen’s phone after he lent it to one of the students because he’s a nice guy.”

But according to Leeks, the girl took his phone, took multiple photos of herself and friends, and recorded a video where she called the 14-year-old the N-word.

“All the time my son reaches for his phone and refuses to give it back,” she wrote in her caption. “I think she returned the phone when she was done embarrassing my son… My son doesn’t want to go to school anymore and it hurts me that my son went through this.”

The 14-year-old told WSVN.com the bullying needs to stop.

“I think everyone should be nice to each other because we’re both human, and we should all respect each other,” Jaylen said. “It’s just ridiculous, because this really has to stop.”

Leeks said the incident was painful for her to deal with.

“It hurts, it’s sad, it’s sick, it’s disgusting, it’s frustrating, you know?” she told WSVN.com

iMater Middle/High Charter School released a statement in response to the video stating that the school has zero tolerance for bullying.

“We are outraged by the actions of the individuals in the video,” the statement said. “We stand in solidarity with the victim and his family and pledge our commitment to ensure this does not happen again. We have zero tolerance for racism and bullying.’

But the 14-year-old’s parents said they’ve heard that promise before and are unsure whether or not Jaylen should return to school.

“It just hurts my heart because I send my son to school to get an education and feel safe and secure and they have violated that,” Leeks told WSVN.com

Leeks said school officials disciplined the student on video captured using racist remarks, but she said she wants all students who stood by and did nothing to be punished.
