Clinton spokesman Angel Urena said Friday night that Clinton had to spend another night in the hospital to receive intravenous antibiotics for an infection unrelated to Covid-19.

Biden noted Friday at the University of Connecticut that he had spoken with Clinton. “Oh, I wanted to see how he was… I tried to get him. He’s fine, really.’

Biden added: “He is not in a serious condition.

“He’s going out soon, as far as I understand. Whether that’s tomorrow or the next day, I don’t know,” he said.

The president also noted that he hasn’t seen Clinton in a while and plans to “have lunch” with him in the near future.

The blood infection that sent the former president to hospital on Tuesday was reportedly caused by the bacteria known as E Coli, his doctors confirmed Friday morning.

Urena noted that the 75-year-old’s white blood cell count was high but has since fallen, indicating that “all health indicators are moving in the right direction.”

“President Clinton is still in a great mood and is deeply grateful for the excellent care he is receiving and the good wishes sent by people from across America and around the world,” Urena added.
