“He’s a bad loser, an idiot. He couldn’t show guts or respect’: Tyson Fury lashes out at Deontay Wilder

“He’s a bad loser, an idiot. He couldn’t show guts or respect’: Tyson Fury says Deontay Wilder REFUSED to hug him at the end of their trilogy thriller after years of heavyweight bad blood

Tyson Fury called Deontay Wilder a “bad loser” and an “idiot” after the Bronze Bomber refused to put their bad blood to bed after their Las Vegas trilogy thriller.

Fury won by knockout in the 11th round to take it two wins and a draw from their three fights, despite being knocked down twice in the fourth round of the fight.

Following his win, Fury, 33, says he tried to approach his heavyweight rival but was denied an attempted hug – and Wilder seemed adamant that he would show absolutely ‘no respect’ for the champion.

Fury said, “I said ‘well done mate’ and he said ‘I don’t want to show sportsmanship or respect.’ I said “No problem.” I was very surprised. Bad loser. Idiot.’

‘I am a sportsman. I went to (Deontay Wilder to) show some love and respect and he wouldn’t give it back. So I pray for him.’

Fury said from the ring how the fight developed: “I was down a few times, I was injured, Wilder is a strong puncher.

“It was a great fight tonight. I won’t apologize, Wilder is a top fighter, he gave me a run for my money. I always say that I am the best fighter in the world and that he is the second best.

“Never doubt me. When the chips are gone, I can always deliver.’
