Rochica was the third baker to be eliminated from The Great British Bake Off on Tuesday’s episode of the hit cooking show.

She follows hapless bakers Tom and Jairzinho who were knocked out in weeks one and two.

“Not everyone gets to bake in the Bake Off tent and I’m proud of where I have to be.”

She also cried at the end of the three challenges, saying, “It’s definitely been my worst week. I’d like another chance, but I don’t think I’ll get it.’

She disappointed with her milkbread Showstopper which consisted of a birdcage, nest and eggs, while also finishing last in the technique where the contestants had to make ciabatta breadsticks.

Meanwhile, Giuseppe surprised the judges with his culinary efforts, producing an incredible vegetable-themed milk loaf and taking first place in the Technical.

Elsewhere, the Signature Challenge tasked the bakers to create a focaccia, with George and Amanda impressing with their textures and flavors.

Next week, the bakers begin dessert week as the competition heats up in the tent.

It comes after viewers were outraged last week when the cooking show’s episode was plagued with sound problems and a technical glitch.

Fans took to Twitter in droves to complain that they could “barely hear” presenters Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas and that they sounded “muffled” when speaking to participants and giving their voiceover.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jairzinho became the second baker to be eliminated during cookie week after a mediocre Showstopper, while Jürgen was again crowned star baker.

Channel 4 had problems with output for the three days before, following a fire in the playout center that affected many fans for Tuesday’s GBBO.

One wrote: ‘What’s going on with the sound on #BakeOff? I can’t hear the voice over. It’s too muffled to hear anything Noel and Matt say.’

“Glad to see other people think the noise is going in all directions tonight. I wasn’t sure if it was me or if Noel was doing the voiceover from the bottom of a cookie barrel,” another added.

Good job! Speaking after being awarded Star Baker, Giuseppe looked excited as he said, 'I'm a star baker, can you believe it! I better enjoy it because it won't happen again!'

A third complained: ‘Your sound mixing is completely off. I can barely hear Noel or Matt’s narration.’

Channel 4 still announced problems two hours before Bake Off aired last week.

A spokesperson said on Twitter: “Unfortunately, we are still experiencing technical issues, which means that some viewers may have trouble viewing our channels or accessing services.

“Sorry for the continued disruption – we’ll let you know here if and when we have updates.”

Channel 4 was approached by MailOnline for further comment at the time.

Last Saturday, Channel 4 and More4 went off air, and Channel 5 also faced technical difficulties.

Red Bee Media, which provides playback services for Channel 4 and Channel 5, said the outage was due to an ‘activation of the fire suppression systems’ on Saturday night.

A spokesperson said: ‘We confirm that all staff from our Broadcast Center in West London have been safely evacuated after activation of the fire suppression systems.

‘As a result of this incident and the automatic security measures initiated at the time, various services from the Broadcasting Center have been disrupted.

“The London Fire Brigade came to the scene and once they determined the building was safe, people were allowed to return to the building.

“We will continue to work to restore all services and resolve any issues caused by this incident.”

Also on the show, Noel debuted with a ponytail, with viewers loving the new look.

One said, ‘I love the ponytail!’ while another woman wrote, “Noel Fielding looks better with a ponytail than I do.”

A third said, “There’s nothing more perfect than Noel Fielding with a ponytail!”

After Tom’s elimination last week, this time it was time for Jairzinho to say goodbye to his all-too-basic Showstopper.

For the first challenge, the bakers had to create 24 brandy snaps with their own unique flavour.

For the Technical Challenge, the participants then had to make 12 jam biscuits.

Jürgen took first place, followed by Giuseppe and then Freya, while Rochica finished in last place.

In the Showstopper Challenge, the bakers were tasked with creating a 3D cookie replica of their favorite childhood toys.

George created a gingerbread plane that could fly, while Jürgen impressed with a working windmill.

Unfortunately, Amanda’s rocking horse sugar cookie fell completely to pieces before she could present it to the judges, shocking some viewers that she wasn’t eliminated.

As for the judges’ decisions, Star Baker was awarded to Jürgen for the second week in a row, while Jairzeno had to say goodbye.

When Jairzeno was announced knocked out, he said: “I half expected that result, because when you look at my Showstopper compared to everyone else’s, it was really very basic.”

Great British Bake Off airs Tuesdays at 8pm on channel 4.
