Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers have asked for the women who say she abused them to be identified as accusers rather than victims during her sex trafficking trial next month.

In court filings on Tuesday, her lawyers also asked for all evidence seized from Jeffrey Epstein’s Palm Beach home to be barred from her trial as well.

Maxwell is in custody in Brooklyn awaiting trial. Opening statements are scheduled to begin on November 29.

She denies allegations of sex trafficking in multiple girls for Epstein, the disgraced pedophile who hanged himself in prison in 2019 pending his own trial.

In a filing Tuesday ahead of the trial next month, her attorney listed all the things he doesn’t want to discuss in front of the jury.

They include details of a flight she took, “testimonials to every alleged ‘rape’ by Jeffrey Epstein” and “referring to prosecutors as “victims” or “underage victims.”

Maxwell’s lawyers filed this Tuesday asking the judge to exclude the mention of “any alleged rape by Jeffrey Epstein.”

The motion also asks the judge to rule out some of the hundreds of pieces of evidence the prosecutors want to submit, but doesn’t say why.

Maxwell’s brother spoke to The Daily Telegraph earlier this week to explain how the family planned to assist her.

“This is a family that stays together.

“Ghislaine has people who love her; people who trust her. This is a family that’s been knocked down, gets up, gets knocked down again, and then gets up again.

“We are a family fighting for each other and this is a big battle we are in. We hope that justice will prevail as it should,” he said.

He added that his sister had been convicted in the court of “public opinion” but that he believes she is innocent.

Maxwell has long denied the charges against her and her lawyers say she is being mistreated in prison.

They released a photo of her with a black eye earlier this year to prove that and claim she was unable to sleep in custody.

“We just want a fair chance, a fair chance, so she can prepare for the trial of her life.

“It’s impossible to prepare for a trial if you can’t sleep,” one of her lawyers told the court earlier this year when he begged for her to be released on bail to await trial at home.

Maxwell’s lawyers also do not want any reference to an “alleged rape by Jeffrey Epstein” during the trial. He died in prison in 2019

She was arrested in New Hampshire last summer after evading the world’s media for more than a year following Epstein’s dramatic arrest and then suicide in prison.

Her family says she has to take the blame for him because she is the only person left responsible.

But Epstein’s many victims say she played a vital role in recruiting them to him, caring for them, and then keeping them under his control against their will.

She and Epstein became friends in the 1990s and dated briefly, but they remained close for years.

She is the one who introduced him to Prince Andrew and was there the night he allegedly slept with 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre Roberts – a claim he has repeatedly denied.

Some of the women who have accused Maxwell of wrongdoing are expected to testify at her trial when it starts next month.
