Melania Trump’s former Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham is seen in a shocking live photo with her legs in the air on the floor of the White House on election night 2020.

“The photo of Stephanie on the floor was taken because we knew she was going to tell a false story about the night she left,” a source said.

And in her new tell-all, Grisham claims that the former first lady slept through most of the night and had to wake up.

“I knocked a few times, softly at first but louder with each attempt,” Grisham writes in an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir, I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw In The White House.

“I finally opened the bedroom door and found that Melania Trump was fast asleep.”

DailyMail.com has exclusively obtained the live photo of Grisham lying on the ground with her legs in the air that same night.

A source who attended the election party tells DailyMail.com that the photo was taken to show how embarrassing her antics were as they expected Grisham to tell her own story about the night’s events.

“The photo of Stephanie on the floor was taken because we knew she was going to tell a false story about the first family when she left, so here’s the candid version of what we covered when it came to her,” the insider claimed.

“The most laughable thing in her book is that she says she woke Melania to come to the election festivities, but this is just a lie,” she added.

‘Do you think Melania will jump out of bed like that? There is a whole process to make Melania look like Melania. Look at Stephanie – do you think she’s part of that process?’

Grisham has already dropped some bombshells on Melania Trump in her upcoming book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in The Trump White House,” to be published October 5 by Harper Collins.

“It’s amazing she has these memories of election night because we know her better as she rolls across the floor of the White House,” the source said.

The White House insider said it was both the West and East Wings because it was so embarrassing not only for POTUS and his team, but for her as well.

“It went on for a while until someone picked up a phone and did this live recording because we knew she would deny it would happen later.

“This was not the behavior of someone who has held such high positions for both the President and the First Lady.

“It’s outrageous to think she’s willing to give up secrets now that so many of the people who’ve worked with her know exactly what she’d do in front of her colleagues.”

In her memoir due out next month, Grisham writes: ‘Maybe’ [Melania] thought someone would wake her up if Trump won.”

Grisham acknowledged that Melania appreciated her sleep and gave her the benefit of the doubt.

“Yet I couldn’t imagine sleeping at a time like this,” she wrote.

She goes on to claim that Melania woke up just in time to attend her husband’s infamous 2:30am press conference, where he claimed the “victory” over Joe Biden.

GRISHAM ADDRESSES PHOTO IN HER UPCOMING BOOK

After they left the stage, some of my East Wing colleagues and I went back to our offices. It was then three o’clock in the morning and I was up for almost twenty-four hours.

My feet hurt and we were all exhausted. Some of us lay on the floor in my deputy’s office and joked that we should sleep there and wake up to find out who our president was. One of my junior staffers, a person I had always advocated and trusted, took a photo of me that night lying on the floor without my knowing it.

It was then sent to people in the West Wing advance office and it made the rounds from several people, including my ex. A week later, I received questions — and warnings — from reporters that people said an internal investigation was underway because I was “visibly drunk” on election night and passed out in a public place.

The stories got weirder with each reporter I spoke to. On one version I passed out in the Blue Room, on another in the East Room. On one version I passed out in my office and on one version I passed out in Mrs. Trump’s bed!

Fortunately, I managed to talk to every reporter who approached me, and none of them wrote a story, because once I explained the facts, it was clear that the information was another defamation run by the Trump White House.

The allegations leveled against me snowballed in their severity and included that I had a drinking problem, mental health and substance abuse problems, that I would lose my security clearance, and that I was suicidal because of the breakup.

I lined up people who had spent time with me on election night and would confirm that I hadn’t been drunk. Among them were a White House physician, an attorney in the counsel’s office, Emma Doyle, Rickie Niceta, my personal physician, an Air Force One flight attendant, another senior East Wing adviser, and Mrs. Trump herself, since I was with her the most. of the night.

Nothing ever came of the investigation, and I remain grateful to the reporters who received a copy of the photo, but who never used it or wrote stories. However, if I were a gambling girl, I would bet money that the picture will magically come up after this book is released.

I also called the employee who took the photo. I couldn’t understand how that person could sleep at night knowing that they’d done something like this to someone who had been a mentor and friend. The person never responded and we never spoke to each other again.

Grisham kept a fairly low profile in the Trump White House, despite serving in the very public position of White House press secretary.

She was famous – and criticized – for never holding a press conference.

She was also very close to Melania Trump. The two women would often text and Melania Trump brought Grisham back to the East Wing and kept her in the Trump White House after Mark Meadows dismissed her as press secretary when he became chief of staff.
