Chrissy Teigen mourns ‘son we almost had’ Jack a year after pregnancy loss as she pays tribute with emotional never-before-seen hospital room photo with John Legend
Chrissy Teigen has mourned her son Jack for a year after she suffered a pregnancy loss.
The 35-year-old model shared an emotional photo from the hospital room with John Legend on Instagram last year.
She accompanied the post with a tribute that read, “and to the son we almost had. a year ago you gave me the greatest pain I could ever imagine showing me that I could survive anything even if I didn’t want to.
“I couldn’t take care of you, but you came and went to make me love myself and take care of myself, because our bodies are precious and life is a miracle. they told me it would get easier, but hey, it hasn’t started yet. mummy and daddy love you forever.’
On October 1, 2020, Teigen announced on Instagram that she and John had lost their baby, days after she was hospitalized with severe bleeding.
The model shared the heartbreaking news with a lengthy post and a series of images on social media, stating that their little boy, Jack, had passed away after “so many complications”.
Chrissy wrote in her post: ‘We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough’.
The devastating post included five black-and-white photos taken in the hospital, showing Chrissy on her bed crying, as well as a photo of her and John rocking their son.
