Chelsea are reportedly considering a transfer for former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero.
The Argentina international, who did not play for the Red Devils in the 2020-2021 season, is a free agent after his contract expired in June.
Thomas Tuchel wants to sign a shot stopper as competition for No 1 Eduourd Mendy and backup Kepa Arrizabalaga and The Telegraph report that Romero is one of the options being considered.

The Blues released Willy Caballero last month and are in the market for a third ‘keeper’.
Romero played second fiddle to David de Gea for much of his six years at Old Trafford, but the rise of Dean Henderson meant he was pushed to third pick.
The 34-year-old nearly landed a loan spell at Everton last summer, but United decided to block the transfer late in the transfer window, sparking an outburst from Romero’s wife on Instagram.

She wrote in October: ‘It’s a very sad day because he wanted the chance to go to another club.
“He has worked hard every day for this because he gives everything for United and I think his chances of playing for United have diminished.
‘This doesn’t seem right to me. It doesn’t seem fair or professional or serious that they should let him go. I am very sad about this.’
Romero proved he was a reliable household name for Dea Gea with 39 clean sheets in his 69 appearances for the club.
But his chances of more playing time at Stamford Bridge would be slim, with Mendy definitely Tuchel’s first choice.

The Senegal international has been impressive in his first season following his £22 million move from Rennes.
Kepa, who came to Chelsea in 2018 for a record £72million, was previously linked with leaving the club after a difficult three years in West London.
But the Spaniard appeared to regain some confidence under Tuchel, keeping five clean sheets in eight games by the end of the season.
