Britney Spears and attorney Matt Rosengart have formally requested that her 13-year conservatorship end this fall.

The pop star, 29, and the legal team filed court documents asking for the conservatory to end immediately, according to TMZ, citing her father Jamie Spears’ earlier move to end the scheme.

According to the documents, Ms. Spears’ team says the conservatorship “no longer serves a legitimate purpose.”

Ms Spears’s team is also asking for her father’s August motion to be removed as conservator, fearing he could “complicate” his daughter’s well-being if he were left in charge any longer.

Furthermore, Rosengart agreed with Jamie that no further medical evaluation is needed to end the case.

The attorney also explained that Ms. Spears’ ability to demonstrate her ability and ability to identify, engage and instruct counsel of her own choosing is a sign that she no longer needs conservatorship. .

Quoting Mr. Spears’ filings, he writes, “If Mrs. Spears wants to finish the conservatory and thinks she can handle her own life, Mr. Spears thinks she should be given that chance.”

Britney is now asking for a “termination plan” to finally get her transition out of the conservatory.

There will be a hearing next week to remove Jamie from the conservatory.

Rosengart wants Mr. Spears gone now, claiming that he has falsely made millions from his daughter, despite having no business background and a difficult personal financial history.

The lawyer would like a judge to appoint a professional trustee of her estate on a temporary basis while they condone plans to end the trusteeship entirely.

“I’m calling again because I just wanted to make sure that in the process of disbanding the conservatory…” before it breaks down.

The timing of the audio message is interesting, as it’s just a year after her much-discussed meltdown between 2007 and 2008, when she was briefly placed under a 5150 grip.

In the audio, Britney can be heard clearly and directly, as if it sounds like the pop star is already asking for the controversial conservatory to end.

Britney’s father Jamie Spears, 69, paid himself $16,000 a month since 2008 to manage his daughter’s multi-billion dollar fortune – before stepping down this year.

The Netflix series is just the latest in many documentaries made about the singer’s turbulent life, which has taken off in recent months.

Last month Jamie announced that he would step down, as his daughter has long demanded, provided Judge Brenda Penny asks him to do so and there is a plan for Britney’s care.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, said it was “justification for Britney.”

“We are pleased that Mr Spears and his lawyer admitted today that he should be removed,” he said. “It’s justification for Britney.”

In the court documents obtained by TMZ, his lawyers write: “There are in fact no factual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the conservator of the estate … and it is highly questionable whether a change of conservator this time would be in Mrs Spears’s best interest.

“Nevertheless, even though Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unwarranted attacks, he doesn’t believe a public fight with his daughter over his continued service as her curator would be in her best interests.”

Jamie, who has always maintained that he was acting in the best interests of his superstar daughter, said he will work with the legal teams to end the complex case.

“So, even if he has to challenge this unwarranted request for his resignation, Mr. Spears plans to work with the court and his daughter’s new attorney to prepare an orderly transition to a new curator.” his lawyers wrote.

Jamie, who is believed not to have spoken to his daughter since before Christmas, said he will continue to look out for his daughter’s best interests.

“Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Mrs. Spears’ father, he will always love her unconditionally, and he will always look after her best interests,” the lawyers said.

“If the public knew all the facts of Ms. Spears’ personal life, not only her highs but her lows, all the addiction and mental health issues she struggled with, and all the challenges of the Conservatory, they would commend Mr. Spears for the work that he has done, do not slander him.’

He said the scheme “has worked as intended” and unsurprisingly Britney felt “limited”.

The lawyers wrote: ‘The Conservatory has given Ms Spears a structure to help her navigate the daily challenges of her personal life, family matters, medical problems and career.

‘Naturally, the structure contains safeguards to protect the conservator against self-harm or harm by others.

“It’s not surprising that Ms. Spears often felt restricted or subjected to excessive supervision.

“But at least the conservatory has worked properly for most of the past thirteen years.”
