Pete Bennett has announced that after 11 years he has “finally” separated from his wife Gemma Rattus – better known as Cherry.
The Big Brother star, 39, shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, alongside candid snaps of the couple celebrating via FaceTime.
To make it clear that the couple will remain amicable, Pete capped off his caption, “Love u Ex-wife lol .”

Cherry cemented their marital relationship by replying, “❤️ Married for over a decade, and still talking and loving each other. I’d say that’s damn good! ️’

Earlier this year, Piet described how he struggled to keep his relationship with the late ex-girlfriend Nikki Grahame after their Big Brother romance.
Speaking to Heat Magazine after her death at age 38 in April, Pete described how the couple felt “under pressure” as they left the Big Brother house in 2006 and came under public scrutiny.
Nikki’s body was discovered at her London home on April 10, a day after she was released from Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester after a three-week stay, with her loved ones insisting she was released ‘too early’.
“Everyone wanted a piece of us and we did big interviews together as a couple, but people were watching every move and it was so much pressure – I think she was too much for me to handle without Big Brother on the hook for her.” informed!’ Pete gave in.
