A New Orleans mansion in the Garden District reportedly owned by megastars Beyoncé and Jay-Z caught fire Wednesday night.

A fire spokesman told the New York Post“If they weren’t there when they were, it could have been a lot worse. It’s a historic house.’

nola.com was the first to report that the property was owned by Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z, 51.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but it was brought under control by 7 p.m. and only reached fire status on one alarm.
