Sam Frost’s announcement that she was not vaccinated caught the attention of fellow Bachelor star and vaccine advocate Abbie Chatfield.

The 26-year-old was asked by a follower what she thought of Sam, 32, deactivating her Instagram account after releasing an emotional video, in which the actress revealed she had not been vaccinated and called on the public to be less judgmental.

“Honey, I chose peace today,” Abbie responded to the follower before delving into more details in the caption of her post.

“I mean, it kind of speaks for itself,” she said. “So brave to ‘come out’ as if you’re putting yourself as an individual above your community for listening to misinformation.”

Chatfield then ruthlessly concluded her response with, “Another reality star bites the dust” – referencing the Home And Away Star’s stint on The Bachelorette.

Abbie is an outspoken supporter of vaccines, regularly calling out other reality stars and Aussie celebrities who have either shared misinformation about the vaccine or confessed their reasons for not getting the shot.

Sam deactivated her Instagram account on Saturday afternoon, shortly after revealing in an emotional post that she had not been vaccinated and that her mental health had suffered.

The Home and Away star called for less judgment on unvaccinated Australians.

“I was really hesitant to make a video or even say anything about this stuff, but I feel like it’s getting to a point in the world where there’s a lot of segregation,” she said.

“There’s a lot of harsh judgment and a lot of opinion thrown around and it’s definitely taking a toll on my mental health, and I know people around me have a hard time – especially if they’re on the side that they don’t want to get vaccinated.” , for whatever reason.’

“There are many different reasons why people don’t get vaccinated and it could be because of their medical history, their concerns, they could have a family history, it could be religious reasons.”

Sam then said she has not been vaccinated herself, but clarified that she had spoken to both her doctor and her psychologist about her decision.

The star burst into tears, saying, “It’s a really hard time being in society right now and you feel like you’re less human and you feel like people are judging you.”

“And you’re too scared to talk about your opinion or your feelings and part of you wants to go, ‘Well, it’s none of your damn business why I’m not! And there are good reasons why I am not and I don’t want you to judge me.”

She explained that it was important for unvaccinated people to take care of their mental health, especially as freedoms return for fully vaccinated Australians.

“I struggle a lot with my mental health and I like to think I’m getting it right. I regularly see a psychologist. So I can’t imagine what it’s like for people who don’t have a support network around them,” she said.

She also admitted that she could “get in trouble” for coming out publicly as unvaccinated, before urging people to treat each other with more kindness and compassion.

It’s unclear if Sam’s choice to remain unvaccinated will affect her role in Home and Away.
